Rožių namas is a holiday house in Karklė, Lithuania, 70 metres from the Baltic Sea: a sauna and hot tub inside, beds for up to 5, a terrace and a fenced yard. Irta, the host, meets you in person.

Ground floor: living room with kitchen and dining table (a sofa bed for one), sauna, shower and WC. Upstairs: a bedroom with a large double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with the hot tub. Tap water in Karklė is often yellowish, so drinking water is left in the house. In spring 2027 the house will be connected to Klaipėda city water, and the tap water will then be drinkable.

Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 PM. Flexible times possible by arrangement.

How many guests can stay?

The house sleeps up to 5 guests: a large double bed in one bedroom, two single beds in the other and a sofa bed in the living room.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

All bookings are final and non-refundable — including early departure or no-show. As the stay is booked for a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. In exceptional cases (e.g. force majeure) we may offer a date change at our discretion — please call or email us.

How far is the airport?

The nearest is Palanga Airport (PLQ): about 25 km, a 30-minute drive. Kaunas (KUN) is ~240 km (about 3 hours), Vilnius (VNO) ~320 km (3.5–4 hours) and Riga (RIX) ~265 km (about 4 hours). Coming by car or taxi is easiest — there is free parking at the house.

Is the tap water drinkable?

Tap water in Karklė is often yellowish, so we do not suggest drinking it. We always leave drinking water in the house. In spring 2027 the house will be connected to Klaipėda city water, and the tap water will then be drinkable.

How many bedrooms, and which beds?

Two bedrooms upstairs: one with a large double bed, the other with two single beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room, so the house sleeps 5 in all.

Does the hot tub work in winter?

Yes. The hot tub is inside the house, in the bathroom, not out in the yard, so you can use it in any season.

Is the hourly sauna the whole house?

Yes. The hourly sauna is the whole house by the hour: the sauna, the hot tub and the house are yours alone for that time. Book it on the Hourly sauna page.

Why can the sauna not be booked by the hour in summer?

The hourly sauna is the whole house, and in summer the house is let to staying guests. So the sauna can be booked by the hour from September to May.

Is there a grill and outdoor furniture?

Yes. There is an outdoor table and chairs on the terrace, and guests are welcome to use the grill. The yard is fenced.

What is there to do on a rainy day, with children or with a dog?

On a rainy day, the Amber Museum and the cafés of Palanga, 15–20 minutes by car. With children, a wide sandy beach two minutes away. With a dog, a fenced yard and paths through the forest and the dunes. Every place, with distances, is in the Karklė guide.
